For men: Hiding erections in the public, especially if you are sex-o-maniac. That's what underpants are good for (and probably designed for in the first place). Imagine having to bend down and staying there for a couple of minutes to hide an erection. NOT FUN.
For women: You don't want it show through your stretch pants, if you know what I mean. Not that men mind seeing them though. Uh, never mind.
